Few people have inspired so many in such a short time. Martin Luther King Jr. was that rare individual that had the ability to transcend race, gender, and politics to a degree seldom seen before or since. His impact on the world we live in resonates on so many levels. It is still hard to believe anyone would end a life such as his. He was a force for good in this world, and he challenges us still to think better, do better, and be better in our lives. As this day is celebrated across the world, it is a great time to reflect upon the great things he accomplished before his tragic death. His “I have a Dream” speech ranks as one of the all-time greats, and long after most of us are dead and gone, his words and life will still be inspiring generations to come. Thank you Martin Luther King Jr. for what you taught while you were here.
